Happy Friday friends! As some of you already know today Morgan Wallen, a Country Artist/Singer Songwriter out of Nashville, Tennessee, dropped a double album titled “Dangerous: The Double Album.” I was skeptical about this album because I feel like so many artists are going to want to release everything at once because of covid and things, so with that I wasn’t sure that this was a very good idea, but I freaking love this album it’s absolute fire. Up until a few weeks ago I never really heard of double albums and so this is new territory for me and maybe a lot of people. I feel like this might have a tone of success though.
I feel like I’ve heard Morgan’s stuff before TikTok, but as with many platforms and artists who’re on everything now a days, I really got a taste of his music from TikTok this past year. The cool thing is with TikTok you can use sounds in your video’s, and so one thing I really love doing is supporting major, indie artists, and showing others artists music which is what made me fall in love with this industry in the first place. Ok I’m getting off of topic lol. Back to the point at hand.
I’m on my second listen through and there’s some songs that aren’t my personal favorite because of the instrumentals, but my favorite song off of the entire thing is “Still Goin Down” it just reminds me of where I grew up, and what the experiences I’ve had in life. Don’t get me wrong every song is fantastic and I’d recommend this double album to anyone especially if you need new music, but songs that get me with hooks, melodies, lyrics, and all of that is why I love music so much cause it’s relatable. I’m not going to five into this album really, but I do think y’all should go give this a listen, stream, and download it. ❤
